PROCESS SCOPE
From Raw Stock to Machining-Ready Blanks
Material cutting is not simply a preliminary saw operation. Blank dimensions, machining allowance, material form and downstream workholding all affect how efficiently the main machining process can begin. Secondary operations then complete drawing-specified details or finishing work that do not require a full CNC setup.
Bar, Plate & Block Cutting
Raw stock is cut to appropriate blank dimensions according to part size, machining allowance and production requirements. The exact cutting method depends on material form and section size.
Blank Preparation
For external cylindrical surfaces such as shafts, pins and fit diameters where final size, roundness or surface finish requires a grinding operation.
Deburring & Edge Preparation
Saw-cut or machined edges can be deburred or prepared before downstream machining, inspection, handling or assembly as required by the process.
Supporting Secondary Operations
Broaching, chamfering, simple feature finishing and other drawing-specified secondary operations can be integrated where they support the overall manufacturing route.
